Lazarev will represent Russia at Eurovision

Singer Sergey Lazarev will represent Russia at Eurovision in 2019. About this RIA Novosti reported the representative of the VGTRK – the official broadcaster of the competition.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the details will be heard in the program “Hello, Andrey” on Saturday, February 9, on the TV channel “Russia 1”.

The competition will be held from 14 to 18 May in Tel Aviv. Israel received the right to hold it after the victory of the singer Neta Barzilai in 2018.

Lazarev has already spoken at Eurovision in 2016. Then he took the third place according to the results of voting by the audience and the professional jury, but in the audience rating the singer was on the first line. The victory was won by Ukrainian Jamala with the composition “1944”. The second was Australia.
